The Mission: Finding The Magnificent In The Seemingly Mundane
דברים כח47-48: " תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר לֹא עָבַדְתָּ אֶת ה' אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּשִׂמְחָה וּבְטוּב לֵבָב מֵרֹב
כֹּל "
"Because you did not serve Hashem your G-d with joy/gladness and goodness of heart when everything was abundant"-Devarim 28(47-48)
Am Yisrael would get the curses (G-d forbid) not because
They did not learn a lot
They are the most righteous, humble etc which is important
but what is critical is
What is in your heart
how you choose to do things, see things ,say things etc

There is no definition in the verse of" when everything was abundant"
so it seems that it is also talking about gratitude... seeing each second of life as a gift and cherishing with love what you do have.
This does not suppress in any way wanting more..but wanting more without cherishing ,being happy with and being grateful for what we do have...changes the "more" we want and how we choose to think about it and get it
What any of us has today ,no matter how seemingly small, is a total fortune to someone somewhere in the world right now.
Through a Lens of Gratitude we gain the sight to see abundance right now and keep the path open to any more that G-d may decide to send our way...
